Projects and memory

Context the AI keeps, so you do not repeat it

A project gathers chats around one piece of work, with instructions, knowledge files and a memory of what has been decided. Your team shares it, it reads your Docs and Tracker as live context, and your own private memory holds what you want the AI to know about you.

Project memory

It remembers what the project decided

Give a project instructions and knowledge files, and it builds up a memory of its own as people work in it. When a fact matters, choose Remember on any message and it is saved to the project, not buried in one chat.

  • Project instructions and knowledge files
  • Automatic project memory as the work goes on
  • Remember this on any message, saved to the project

Shared and connected

Your team, your Docs, your Tracker, one project

Add members with view or edit access, and share chats so a colleague can pick up where you stopped. Link a Docs space or a Tracker project and answers can use that live work, read with each person's own access. The project gets a shared drive for its files, and it follows who is on the project.

  • View or edit access, with chats you can share
  • Docs spaces and Tracker projects linked as live context
  • A shared project drive that follows project membership

Personal memory

What it knows about you is what you wrote down

Personal memory is a list you write yourself: how you like answers, where you are, what you work on. The AI does not learn personal facts on its own, and the list is private to you. You can add to it from any message with Remember, and switch memory off for yourself, or for the organisation.

  • You write it, and it is private to you
  • Never learned from your chats without you saying so
  • Switches for the organisation and for you

FAQ

Questions about AI projects and memory

Something else on your mind? Write to hello@thehivez.com.

What is the difference between project memory and my memory?

Project memory belongs to a project and is shared with its members: what has been decided, plus facts someone chose to remember. Your personal memory is a list you write about yourself, and it is private to you.

Does the AI learn things about me by itself?

No. It never learns personal facts on its own. Your personal memory holds only what you write, or what you choose to remember from a message.

Who can see a project?

The people you add, with view or edit access. Chats can be shared with them, and the shared project drive follows project membership.

How do Docs and Tracker fit in?

You can link Docs spaces and Tracker projects to a project as live context. Answers can draw on them, and each person sees only what their own access allows.

Can I turn memory off?

Yes. There is a switch for memory for the organisation and one for you.

Are there custom instructions without a project?

Yes. You can set instructions that apply to your own chats, and keep a library of prompts you use often.
