Copyright and takedown policy
Last updated 12 October 2026.
1.Ownership
Your organisation keeps all rights in the content it creates and uploads to its workspace: floors, messages, files, docs, whiteboards, recordings and so on. We use that content only as needed to operate the service, as set out in the terms of service.
The Remote Desk software, name, logos, design and website are owned by Remote Desk or its licensors. Using the service does not give you rights in them beyond the right to use the service under the terms.
2.Respecting other people's rights
Do not upload, share or record anything that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights. See the acceptable use policy. Remote Desk is mostly private workspaces, but content can be shared inside an organisation, with guests and by link, and we respond when someone tells us it infringes.
3.Reporting infringement
If you believe content on the hosted service infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@thehivez.com that includes:
Your name, address, telephone number and email, and the work you say has been infringed. A description or link that lets us find the content on Remote Desk. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
A statement, made under penalty of perjury where the law of your country requires it, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them. Your physical or electronic signature.
Notices that are incomplete, or that are knowingly false, may be ignored, and the person sending a false notice may be liable for the damage it causes.
4.What we do with a notice
When we receive a complete notice we may remove or disable access to the content, and we may tell the person responsible and the owner or admins of the organisation that holds it, usually with a copy of the notice. Content in a private workspace can be reached only through the organisation that controls it, so we may need to refer your notice to them.
5.Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the right to use it, send a counter-notice to hello@thehivez.com with: your name, address, telephone number and email; a description of the content removed and where it was before; a statement, under penalty of perjury where the law requires it, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your agreement to the jurisdiction of the courts where you live; and your signature.
We may pass your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If they do not tell us they have started legal action within a reasonable time, we may restore the content.
6.Repeat infringers
We may suspend or close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe other people's rights, and the workspaces of organisations that do.
7.Other rights and questions
For trademark, privacy or other complaints about content, or if you are not sure where your complaint belongs, write to hello@thehivez.com. For privacy requests, see your data rights.
